Tin Shine Aung is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Sustainability Science at the Interactive Technology Institute (ITI) at the University of Lisbon in Portugal.

Corporate Responsibility Specialist

From 2022 to April 2024, he worked as a Corporate Responsibility Specialist at CRYOPDP, a subsidiary of Cryoport Inc., a company listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange. In this role, he actively engaged in sustainability initiatives within life sciences and healthcare supply chain solutions.

Consulting Director

He is currently managing remotely SRIc - Shwetaungthagathu Reform Initiative Centre, a consultancy agency working to advocate for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) in Burma.

Knowledge Management Specialist

During his three-year tenure at the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (UNFAO), Tin Shine Aung he served as a Knowledge Management and Communication Specialist. He played a pivotal role in the FishAdapt project, focusing on climate change adaptation and disaster risk management in fisheries and aquaculture communities.

September 2020-July 2023

YSEALI Professional Fellow

In 2020, he became a Professional Fellow, representing Burma in the U.S. State Department’s YSEALI program, focusing on Sustainable Development and the environment. Through this prestigious program, he visited key sustainability-focused institutions across the United States, including Washington D.C., Texas, and Florida in 2023.

Regional Trainer and Facilitator

Tin Shine Aung worked as Regional Trainer and Facilitator of Yangon Region at Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Representative office in Myanmar from 1 January 2019 to 6 October 2020.

Council Member

In 2019, Tin Shine Aung was appointed to the Youth Advisory Council (AYC) for His Excellency Scot Marciel, the United States Ambassador to Burma. This two-year appointment underscored his dedication to fostering community growth and empowering youths in Burma.
